Embedded analytics puts charts, dashboards or data exploration inside another application, so users see insights where they already work.

Instead of sending users to a separate BI tool, a software product shows them their own data inside its interface, for example a usage report in a customer portal.
Building it raises questions of access control and data isolation: each user must see only their own organisation's data.

An invoicing app that shows each customer a built-in report of their own spending is using embedded analytics.
